Quest Billing Medicare Recipients

Whalen & Tusa, P.C. has filed a lawsuit that alleges that Quest Diagnostics wrongfully billed, collected and sometimes used outside collection agencies to demand that persons covered by Medicare Part B pay for lab or diagnostic testing services. Quest Billing Insured and HMO-Insured Consumers

Whalen & Tusa, P.C. has filed a lawsuit that alleges that Quest Diagnostics wrongfully billed, collected and sometimes used outside collection agencies to demand that persons insured by private insurance or an HMO pay for lab or diagnostic testing services that were covered by their insurance. Improper Collection Letters and Phone Calls
Whalen & Tusa, P.C. is currently investigating Debt Collection Agencies that engage in false, deceptive or abusive practices including:
  • claiming money not owed
  • ,
  • billing for any interest or adding any fee
  • calling a consumer at work
  • trying to collect debts from old bills
  • calling in the morning before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM
  • adding interest to any amount they claim is owed
  • threatening legal action; or
  • other false and abusive activities.
  • These type of collections actions are not allowed under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ["FDCPA"].  If you have had debt collectors call or write letters to you which you believe are false, deceptive or abusive, please contact us at DebtCollections@whalen-tusa.com.
